Bonus Points and Make up Work

Today I entered "Bonus Points" into Pinnacle.  Because I have never done this before, I'm not for sure how the score will actually show up on the parent/student website.  I gave the students an opportunity to earn up to 20 bonus points; the score that is entered is how many bonus points your child earned.  The score was entered over 0, which means that any points only added to your child's grade.  This was a one-time deal only; there are no make-ups.  Would someone be kind enough to email me a copy of your child's report? I'm just curious to see how it's printed. 

I had over 30 students stay during 1st connections today for make-up work.  Please be very patient in waiting for grades to be posted.  Make-up work takes a lot of time to grade.

Figurative Language

Monday, we will be finishing up our current unit on Figurative Language.  We will complete the unit, and then have a review.  We will have a test over the unit on Tuesday.  The students should have a graphic organizer to help with their studying.

Book Projects

The students spent time in class working on their book projects, which is an introduction to "A Hero's Journey."  The book projects should be completed over the weekend and returned on Monday.
