I another great start to another great week!
Today we began talking about our next part of speech: Adjectives. We took some notes, and I will be sure to post them this week.
We also read "Jeremiah's Song". It is a great story. While we were listening to the story, we listed adjectives that we would use to describe the characters.
Your homework for tonight is to bring a novel that you are currently reading, or bring a novel that you have already read this year.
Well, it has been a long week, and I have not been the best about keeping up with my blog. We mastered pronouns this week (most of my students blew the test away)! We also finished writing our friendly letters to the Marines over in Iraq.
If you did not finish your letter, then that is you homework for the weekend. Write the final draft of your friendly letter in pen (blue or black).
Have a wonderful weekend!
You have a pronoun test on Thursday! Be able to identify and use personal, possessive, interrogative, demonstrative, reflexive, and indefinite pronouns.
I have already posted your notes for pronouns, so check in the archives for downloads.
Sorry that it has been awhile since my last post.
Overall, my classes did pretty good on your end of the nine weeks Benchmark test. CONGRATS! Remember that we will have three more of those!
This week, we have been discussing pronouns and friendly letters. We will have a test of pronouns at some point next week (probably Thursday), and we will begin writing the rough draft of our letters tomorrow.
NO HOMEWORK TONIGHT!
I will be conducting a study hall on Thursday morning (8:15 am) for anyone who failed their verb test. Retakes are during silent reading tomorrow.
Alright, today we discussed your end of the nine weeks test and personal pronouns. Please make sure that you are studying the notes (verb, noun, and preposition) that you have recieved throughout the nine weeks. I will post those as well.
Your homework is to complete workbook pgs. 9 and 10.
