Unit 7 quiz will be given on Friday, April 4, instead of Wednesday. It will include parallel and transversal lines. Students may take the quiz on Thursday morning if they are planning to be out on Friday. The Voc. project is still due on or before April 15th. I am encouraging students to complete before the break.

After the unit 5 test tomorrow, we will begin unit 6, Values that Vary. Students will study how two variables/factors relate to each other, using equations, tables and graphs. Parent letter will be given tomorrow or Wednesday. Quiz and test dates will be posted on the board in advance. Please check the agenda.
We are about to finish Unit 6. Unit 6 test will be given on Wednesday, March 26. Unit 7 is about Geometry. Students will study Geometric terms and basic constructions using a compass and straight edge. Students will also investigate characteristics of parallel and perpendicular lines. There will be a vocabulary quiz in this unit. Parent letter for the unit will go home tomorrow. Quiz and test dates will be posted on the board.
We continue to study Linear Equations and Inequalities. We had a Mid-unit test for Unit 6 and students did very well. Currently, we are learning graphing inequalities in 2 variables and a quiz over the concept will be upcoming this week. We need to keep working with the equation of a line for this unit. A unit test is scheduled for next week.
The CRCT is coming soon! The students in Math 78 are studying 8th grade curriculum and beyond this year. However, students will be taking the 7th grade CRCT. I will be reviewing the concepts, especially the concepts from last year, that the students have not worked this year.
In Unit 5, we continue to work with Geometric concepts. The parent letter has been sent out including the vocabulary list and the standards. Currently, we are studying dilations and similar figures using proportions. A quiz and a test will be upcoming this week and the next week. The dates will be posted on the board in advance. The CRCT is around the corner, we will have more reviewing for CRCT questions. We are working to get everyone ready for the test.
I am still available for extra help every Tuesday mornings from 8:15 or during homeroom every morning. If you need help, come and see me.
