Today we made index cards of the vocabulary words to use as study guide for our test in science tomorrow.  Our daily homework is to read 30 minutes Monday through Thursday.  Do not forget the open house tomorrow.  Information should have gone home with your son or daughter tonight.

August 9, 2010 - August 13, 2010

We discussed steps to pre reading a text book.  These include reading headings, reading bold faced words, and looking at pictures, graphs, and charts. These skills were used for section 18 - 1 of the science book. Then outlined this section and defined the vocabulary words. 

We also went to the library and learned how to use Destiny to help us find a pleasure book.  This book we are to "get lost in " during the week.
