May 5-8
We are going to dig into the Japanese culture and their love of nature. This is often reflected in the creating of Haiku poetry. No, it doesn't have to rhyme!
In class, students will learn more about this style of writing from a short power point of information and view some examples. Then they will go into the media center to take advantage of the big window view into the great outdoors. Their goal is to write three different hailku and then to select what they think is their best one.
Tomorrow they will create a final version in the media lab.
