Thursday plus Tutoring times

We took a quiz today over Order of Operations and students have a worksheet to complete for homework if they did not do so in class.

I will be in at 8 for the next week and I am offering after school help Monday and Wednesday until 5:15. Please email me if your child plans to stay after school so I know they have a way home.

Wednesday

Complete worksheet, Activity 4. Study vocabulary and be prepared for quiz over voc and PEMDAS.

Tuesday

Tonight students are to complete the worksheet over order of operations.

Monday

Math 7's homework in the the Georgia Homework and Pracitce Workbook (GHPW) which was given out today in class. Homework is page 5. All problems.

Advance Math 7 is using the same workbook, GHPW but they are to do page 5 and page 13. All of 5 but only 11-22 on 13.

We will be checking for completion as well as accurate answers.

Wednesday

Performance Task; Speeding Through Data is due Friday. I am moving the test to Friday as well so I have time to go over the study guide with students tomorrow. Below is the Study Guide for anyone who does not have the coral colored one handed out in class.

Tuesday

Speeding Through the Data is due Friday. Some students did not complete our Scatter Plot Activity today in class so they are to finish it for homework.

No before school help session tomorrow as I have math meeting. Test is Thursday. It covers all the date analysis from 6th grade and 7th. I will be here to review on Thursday and Friday at 8.

Up Coming Grades

Thursday will be our Unit 1 Test which will include the following concepts: bar graphs, line graphs, circle graphs, line plots, box-and-whisker plots, scatter plots, frquency tables, stem and leave charts and all vocabulary.

Friday is when the Speeding through the Data Assessment is due. This Performance Task combines and uses several of the concepts we have covered. Students received copies of this is class today.

I am available before school at 8 every day next week with the exception of Wednesday. I have a Math Meeting so there won't be any help before school.

Thursday

Today we worked with groups to review for the quiz tomorrow. If students didn't finish, they will need to do so tonight.Quiz is over Box and Whisker plots and Scattered Plots. Unit 1 Test is next Thursday, September 8.
