Students were given the formula sheet containing all the formulas used in chapter 10. Today we worked the parallelogram and triangle, and there will be more problems tomorrow. There will be a quiz on Thursday, and students will be allowed to use the formula sheet. Students must show the formula and the process of "plugging in" the base and height in the formula, as well as, the answer. This will prepare them for the more complicated formulas. The next standard is area of composite figures and then comparing area and perimeter. ( Chapter 10 lessons 1-5)
